C&C Group announces CFO departure as revenues decline and leadership shifts amid ongoing business transformation efforts.

IRELAND – C&C Group, the owner of Magners and Bulmers cider brands as well as Scottish lager Tennent’s, has confirmed Chief Financial Officer Andrew Andrea will leave his role in March 2026.
The company said Andrea will remain in position until the end of the financial year, stepping down on or before 13 March 2026.
The drinks group, which also distributes AB InBev brands in Ireland, has launched a search for a new CFO immediately. Andrea has served in the role for just 18 months, having joined C&C Group after previously holding the position of Chief Executive at Marston’s.
His departure marks another leadership change at C&C Group following a turbulent period. In 2024, the company parted ways with its former chief executive after accounting errors led to a €17m charge. Patrick McMahon, who was CFO during the time of the accounting shortcomings, stepped down in June of that year.
Roger White, Chief Executive Officer of C&C Group, praised Andrea’s contributions. “The Board joins me in thanking Andrew for his excellent contribution to C&C. Andrew joined the business during challenging times and has, through his experience and capabilities, played a significant role in the stabilisation and improvement of the business. Andrew will continue to be an important part of the leadership group until his planned departure early next year,” White said.
Andrea’s exit comes as C&C Group reported a 4% decline in revenue during the first half of the year. The company generated revenues of €861.4m (US$1.1bn) over the period, with the decline attributed to lower distribution revenues following the transfer of control of AB InBev off-trade beer distribution in Ireland and the planned exit from certain lower-margin business segments.
Despite the revenue dip, C&C Group expects underlying operating profit to reach €41.5-€42m, in line with market expectations. In the prior six-month period, underlying operating profit before exceptional items increased by 29% to €40.3m.
The company highlighted that core brands Tennent’s and Bulmers performed strongly in terms of revenue growth.
C&C Group also began revitalisation efforts for its Magners UK brand in January, launching a new marketing campaign and achieving initial distribution gains in the off-trade, though it cautioned on-trade improvements would take longer.
C&C Group stated its premium products continue to expand distribution and pledged ongoing investment despite what it described as a challenging macroeconomic backdrop.
