Coca-Cola Europacific Partners’ APS Vice President Peter West to retire
Peter West will retire in December 2025 after leading Coca-Cola Europacific Partners’ Australia, Pacific and South-East Asia unit.
AUSTRALIA – Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) has announced the upcoming retirement of Peter West, vice president and general manager of its Australia, Pacific and South-East Asia (APS) business unit, effective 31 December 2025.
With nearly 40 years of experience in the fast-moving consumer goods sector, West has held senior leadership positions at Lion Dairy & Drinks, Mars Confectionery, and Arnott’s.
He joined Coca-Cola Amatil in 2018 as managing director of Australian Beverages, where he played a crucial role in strengthening the company’s operations.
His leadership was instrumental during the acquisition of Coca-Cola Amatil by Coca-Cola European Partners in 2021, which later rebranded as Coca-Cola Europacific Partners.
Following this transition, West became the first vice president and general manager of the newly formed Australia, Pacific and Indonesia business unit, which was later expanded to include South-East Asia after the joint acquisition of Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines with Aboitiz Equity Ventures.
Under his guidance, the APS region was successfully integrated into CCEP. Meanwhile, the Australian market, now led by managing director Orlando Rodriguez, has continued to expand and currently stands as the fourth-largest contributor to CCEP’s global revenue.
“Peter’s contribution to CCEP in Australia and the broader region has been transformative,” said Damian Gammell, chief executive officer of CCEP.
“His deep understanding of the industry and ability to drive growth across diverse markets have made him a respected leader within our business and beyond. We thank him for his vision and dedication as he prepares for retirement.”
To ensure a seamless transition, West will work closely with Gareth McGeown, currently general manager of Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines, who will assume leadership of the APS business unit from 1 January 2026.
McGeown, a 25-year veteran of the Coca-Cola system, has led the Philippines business for the past seven years, delivering consistent share, volume, and profit growth.
Based in Manila, he expressed his readiness to take on the expanded role, stating: “We have a strong team and platform for growth in APS, and I look forward to building on this foundation.”
