Ingredients group posts stable quarterly results and unveils new Reb M sweetener brand.

UK – Tate & Lyle has reported third-quarter operating performance in line with expectations and consistent with the first half, while also announcing the launch of a new sweetener brand in partnership with Manus.
For the three months to 31 December 2025, group revenue increased 15% on a reported basis and in constant currency, reflecting the combination with CP Kelco on 15 November 2024.
On a pro forma basis and in constant currency, revenue was 2% lower, reflecting continued muted market demand. Performance across all regions was broadly consistent with the first half.
Nick Hampton, Chief Executive of Tate & Lyle, said: “Tate & Lyle’s third quarter operating performance was in line with our expectations and consistent with the first half. In November, at our interim results, we outlined a series of actions to drive top-line growth and improve performance. We made good progress on these actions during the quarter.”
He added: “We continued to make targeted investments in capabilities and technology to strengthen our customer offering, and saw further encouraging momentum in customer engagement in our combined portfolio. The value of cross-selling opportunities in the new business pipeline increased significantly in the third quarter.”
For the nine months to 31 December 2025, pro forma revenue in the Americas declined 2% compared to the prior period, as modestly higher pricing was more than offset by lower volumes.
In Europe, the Middle East and Africa, revenue fell 5% due to lower pricing, while Asia Pacific recorded 1% growth driven by higher volumes.
The company confirmed that its outlook for the 2026 financial year remains unchanged, with revenue and EBITDA expected to decline by a low-single-digit percentage compared with the previous year.
Alongside its results, Tate & Lyle announced the launch of Yume, a new sweetener brand developed with Manus to expand access to sugar-reduction solutions for food and beverage manufacturers.
The first product, Yume M Stevia, is produced at Manus’ bioconversion facility in Augusta, Georgia, described as the only large-scale site of its kind in the United States.
Yume M Stevia uses an all-Americas supply chain and leverages Reb M steviol glycosides to deliver sugar-like sweetness without the bitterness often associated with traditional stevia extracts.
The ingredient is engineered for industrial performance, offering predictable sweetness, solubility and stability across applications.
“The Sweetener Alliance accelerates the growth of ingredients that meet society’s evolving nutrition needs and industry’s need for security of supply,” Hampton said.
Manus CEO Ajikumar Parayil added that the brand “translates next-generation industrial biotechnology into commercially scalable sweetener solutions,” combining Tate & Lyle’s formulation expertise with Manus’ biomanufacturing platform and traceable supply chain.
