TriNutra partners with Nutritunes to roll out ThymoQuin® black seed oil supplement

U.S.A – TriNutra, supplier of its clinically studied ThymoQuin® black seed oil (Nigella sativa), has partnered with wellness brand Nutritunes to launch a premium black seed oil supplement formulated with TriNutra’s flagship ingredient.

ThymoQuin contains 3% thymoquinone and very low (<1.25%) levels of free fatty acids (FFAs), which are crucial to maintaining its potency. FFAs, when present in higher levels, can cause the oil to become rancid and reduce its effectiveness.

It is a United States Pharmacopeia grade (USP-grade), low acid, black seed oil intended to support healthy cortisol levels, immune health, heart health, and the gut microbiome.

In 2024, Health Canada approved six structure-function claims for ThymoQuin, allowing product manufacturers to make specific recommendations based on scientific data presented.

The claims include support of healthy liver function, cardiovascular health, and healthy glucose levels.

ThymoQuin has been clinically tested to improve mitochondrial activity and ATP production, and provide antioxidant activity.

Because thymoquinone can be unstable in the presence of fatty acids, the composition is maintained through TriNutra’s manufacturing process as well as the growing and harvesting methods.
