TANZANIA – FESCO has completed its first container shipment to Dar es Salaam, marking the logistics enterprise’s official entry into the East African market.
The cargo, comprising industrial spare parts and plastics, travelled from the Russian port of Novorossiysk via a transit point in India, with a total voyage time of 45 days.
New Trade Corridor from Black Sea to East Africa
For freight forwarders and logistics managers, this inaugural shipment demonstrates a viable maritime corridor linking the Black Sea region to East Africa. The route from Novorossiysk, Russia’s largest Black Sea port, to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania’s primary gateway, passes through an Indian transit hub.
