AD Ports, Aqaba Development launch Maqta Ayla digital venture for port truck management

The system streamlines procedures, expedites permit issuance, and improves logistics flow.

JORDAN – AD Ports Group and Aqaba Development Corporation have launched Noatum Ports Maqta Ayla Digital Solutions, a joint venture to develop a Port Community System and a truck management platform, using AI and smart analytics to improve supply chain efficiency at Aqaba Port.

The joint venture marks a significant step in Aqaba’s digital transformation, aiming to reduce truck waiting times and streamline cargo movements via AI-powered systems.

The truck management project regulates traffic flow, expedites permit processing, and improves overall logistics efficiency at the Red Sea gateway.

Additionally, this initiative forms part of a broader strategic collaboration between AD Ports Group and Jordanian authorities to modernize the country’s maritime infrastructure. Maqta Ayla’s digital platform integrates port users, terminal operators, customs, and logistics providers within a unified system.

Truck Management and Digital Integration

The joint venture is delivering a truck management project at Aqaba ports, using advanced digital solutions that connect relevant entities through a unified digital window.

The system streamlines procedures, expedites permit issuance, and improves logistics flow. The company has already begun implementing the truck management system to regulate traffic, reduce waiting times, and improve cargo-handling efficiency.

Strategic Partnership and Leadership Comments

Shadi Ramzi Al Majali, Chairman of ASEZA, said the launch positions Aqaba as an integrated digital logistics gateway on the Red Sea, underscoring the depth of the Jordan-UAE partnership. The initiative lays the foundation for AI-powered digital infrastructure to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve transparency and security.

Hussein Al Safadi, CEO of ADC, said the launch marks an important milestone in the development of Aqaba’s digital infrastructure and reflects the success of ADC’s strategic partnerships with leading regional and international entities.

Mohamed Al Tamimi, CEO of Noatum Ports, said the launch strengthens AD Ports Group’s presence in Jordan and demonstrates its commitment to applying global expertise and advanced technology to improve supply chain efficiency in Aqaba.

AD Ports Group’s portfolio in Jordan comprises the 30-year concession for Aqaba Multipurpose Port, the Aqaba Cruise Terminal, the Marsa Zayed tourism development, and the Al Madouneh Customs Centre in Amman.

Finally, AD Ports Group’s broader portfolio in Jordan, including the Aqaba Multipurpose Port concession, delivers integrated maritime and digital logistics solutions, positioning Aqaba as a competitive gateway on the Red Sea for regional trade.
