Cairo Poultry Company’s Nubaria facility receives Golden Area award

The award recognizes top performance in slaughterhouse operations.

EGYPT – Cairo Poultry Company reported that its Nubaria Slaughterhouse Deboning Area achieved the highest scores across all three core performance indicators for the third quarter of 2025, earning the Golden Area Award.

The company attributed the recognition to the facility’s team’s consistent operational performance and adherence to established production standards.

The Nubaria Slaughterhouse, located in the Regwa area of Wadi El Natroun within New Nubaria City, is one of the main processing plants under CPC’s operations in Egypt.

In October 2025, CPC announced a new broiler expansion project in Sharqia Governorate to increase the company’s overall poultry output.

The investment for the Sharqia project is approximately US$2.6 million (EGP 122 million) and is expected to raise annual production by around 2.3 million birds once the facility becomes operational.

CPC officials said the project is part of a broader effort to strengthen its network of facilities that supply both domestic and selected export markets.

The expansion addresses growing demand for poultry protein amid rising feed costs and ongoing pressures in local supply chains.

Company representatives noted that the new facility is designed to improve production efficiency and operational capacity amid fluctuating market conditions.

Industry analysts note that the Sharqia project shows rising investment among Egyptian poultry producers to manage input costs while maintaining competitiveness.

Once completed, the Sharqia facility is expected to create additional employment opportunities and support CPC’s long-term operational plans.

The Nubaria award and the Sharqia expansion signal CPC’s ongoing focus on maintaining consistent production output while scaling up its presence in the Egyptian poultry sector.
