SAUDI ARABIA – The General Authority of Customs has inducted 12 new private companies into the GCC Authorized Economic Operator Programme after they demonstrated their commitment to international standards for supply chain security and safety, bringing the total number of participants to 99.

For fresh produce exporters and logistics operators, accelerated clearance processes reduce border delays for perishable cargo, preserving cold chain integrity and extending shelf life upon arrival at destination markets. Application Process and Programme Expansion
Applications to join the programme are open to any party participating in the international trade supply chain, subject to the fulfilment of the initial conditions and completion of the programme’s self-assessment questionnaire.
Upon acceptance of the application, subject to meeting conditions related to supply chain security and safety, it is submitted electronically through the General Authority of Customs’ electronic customs clearance system, Al Nadeeb.
Assistant Chairman for Customs Affairs, Talal Abdullah Al Shaibi, presented certificates of enrolment to 12 companies that demonstrated their commitment to international standards for the security and safety of the supply chain in international trade and their compliance with approved customs requirements.
The recognition forms part of the General Authority of Customs’ efforts to strengthen its effective partnership with the private sector and to expand the scope of the Authorized Economic Operator Programme.
