New accessible green space promotes inclusion, sustainability and community engagement in Kenya.

KENYA – Golden Africa Kenya Ltd, a member of the global HSA Group, has officially launched what it describes as East Africa’s first inclusive sensory garden.
Designed to be experienced through touch, sound, scent and interactive engagement, the garden provides an accessible space for learning, wellbeing and recreation for people of all abilities, including individuals with visual and physical disabilities.
According to the company, the sensory garden reflects its commitment to inclusion, dignity and meaningful community impact in Kenya.
The facility is located on a dedicated green space adjacent to Golden Africa Kenya’s manufacturing plant and features guided sensory pathways, aromatic plants, interactive educational signage, and water and sound elements.
The garden also includes an inclusive children’s play area, sculptures and seating crafted from recycled materials. The company said these features demonstrate how environmental responsibility can be transformed into creativity and shared community value.
The launch aligns with Golden Africa Kenya’s broader sustainability agenda. The company has invested in large-scale solar and biomass energy installations at its facility, structured recycling programmes, waste reduction initiatives and ongoing tree-planting efforts aimed at reducing its carbon footprint and promoting responsible industrial practices.
Managing Director Fathi Saeed said: “Open to employees, schools, and the surrounding community, the sensory garden is a lasting reflection of Golden Africa Kenya’s vision for responsible corporate citizenship in Kenya and across the region.”
Golden Africa Kenya Limited traces its roots to the Hayel Saeed Anam family, a diversified multinational group. The company began operations in Kenya in 2015 and has since developed a portfolio of brands across several product categories.
Its core business activities include the manufacturing of edible oils, cooking fat, multipurpose washing bars and detergents, produced in state-of-the-art facilities serving the Kenyan market.
