Investment supports new poultry houses and capacity expansion funded internally.

SAUDI ARABIA – Naqi Water Company has signed a contract with Germany-based Big Dutchman for the supply of poultry machinery and equipment valued at US$1.23 million, as part of its ongoing expansion in the poultry sector.
The agreement aims to increase the company’s poultry production capacity by 50% by introducing automated systems for egg production and grading.
The company stated in a filing with the Saudi Exchange that the investment will be financed entirely from internal resources, with no external borrowing.
The new equipment will be installed in two newly constructed poultry production houses that form part of Naqi Water’s broader expansion programme.
According to the company, the upgraded facilities are expected to improve operational efficiency while supporting higher output to meet rising market demand.
Naqi Water said the contract represents a key milestone in scaling up its poultry operations by integrating advanced automation technologies.
The company expects the financial impact of the investment to begin to be reflected in its results during the first half of 2027.
It also confirmed that the transaction does not involve any related parties and complies with disclosure requirements on the Saudi Exchange.
The latest agreement follows earlier expansion activity announced in January, when the company approved an additional US$0.99 million construction contract to build two more poultry houses.
That earlier phase focused on infrastructure development, including structural works and supporting facilities needed to expand production capacity.
Together, the projects are intended to strengthen poultry output and align with rising domestic demand in Saudi Arabia’s food market.
The company said the expansion also supports broader national food security objectives and agricultural sector development goals.
Naqi Water added that further financial details linked to the expansion programme will be disclosed in line with market regulations.
