Reliance Consumer Products reports strong Q1 FY27 growth as Campa sales reach US$300.9M

Campa strengthened its position in India’s soft drinks market as Reliance Consumer Products accelerated expansion through new product launches and wider distribution.

INDIA – Reliance Consumer Products Ltd (RCPL), the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) arm of Reliance Industries Ltd, reported more than two-fold revenue growth during the first quarter of FY27, driven by strong performance from its beverage portfolio led by Campa.

According to Reliance Industries’ earnings presentation, Campa generated Rs 2,900 crore in sales during the June quarter, contributing nearly one-third of RCPL’s total revenue.

The company said the brand delivered almost 50% of its entire FY26 sales in the first quarter alone, highlighting its rapid growth in India’s carbonated soft drinks market.

Campa, which competes with global beverage leaders Coca-Cola and PepsiCo, has also achieved a double-digit market share in key markets, strengthening its position following Reliance’s acquisition of the brand in 2022.

As part of its expansion strategy, RCPL plans to introduce Campa in aluminium cans by the end of the month. The company has already begun manufacturing and launching the canned format in Australia through Goodness Group, which Reliance acquired in February this year.

“We have now officially manufactured Campa cans in Australia. We will be doing a launch at the end of this month,” said RCPL Executive Director Ketan Mody.

Reliance has continued investing in production infrastructure, supply chains, logistics networks and bottling facilities to expand Campa’s presence across India.

The company reported that the brand generated more than Rs 4,700 crore in gross sales during FY26, making it India’s fourth-largest carbonated soft drinks brand with a double-digit market share.

Beyond beverages, RCPL is also expanding its broader FMCG portfolio. The company has completed the operational transition of the Toni & Guy, Brylcreem, Badedas and Matey brands, which were acquired last year.

“These were the brands which we had acquired last year. Sales for these have commenced in the UK, Europe, and Australia. We are preparing for the India launch on this,” Mody said.

RCPL’s daily essentials business, led by its Independence brand, recorded Rs 3,200 crore in sales during the June quarter. Meanwhile, categories including home care, personal care, processed foods, confectionery and chocolates also delivered strong growth.

“Home care, personal care, processed food, confectionery, chocolates, everything had started kind of giving us good growth,” Mody said. He added, “This is where we feel a lot of growth would be coming during the next quarters. We continue our focus on pan-India distribution.”

The company has expanded its distribution network to more than 5,000 distributors, reaching over 3 million retail outlets across India.

“More than 80% of our sales are through external channels. And internationally, now we reach more than 40 markets,” Mody said.

Earlier in June, Retail Director Isha Ambani said RCPL is the “fastest-growing FMCG platform in India’s history” and is targeting Rs 1 lakh crore in revenue within the next four years.
