SIAL Paris 2026 set for October return with strong exhibitor demand and expanded programme

Organisers report high early bookings and increased participation

FRANCE – SIAL Paris 2026 is scheduled to take place at Paris Nord Villepinte from October 17 to 21, 2026, with organisers outlining plans for a larger, more feature-rich edition than in previous years.

Following the 2024 edition, which recorded its highest attendance to date, the upcoming event is expected to maintain its position as a major international meeting point for companies across the food and beverage sector.

Organisers describe the exhibition as a commercial platform that facilitates product launches, business deals and analysis of emerging developments influencing global food systems.

Early registration figures show that around 85% of the available exhibition area has already been reserved, with more than 260,000 square metres booked, marking a 16% rise compared to the same period ahead of the last edition.

In total, the 2026 show is projected to cover over 280,000 square metres across 10 sectors, with participation expected from approximately 8,000 exhibitors and close to 295,000 industry professionals representing over 200 countries.

Several product segments, including grocery, fine foods, meat, poultry, delicatessen, cereals, pulses and fresh produce, are approaching full capacity, while beverages, frozen foods and confectionery categories are also reporting strong interest from exhibitors.

Countries such as Italy, Spain, Türkiye, Greece and France are among those with a significant presence, reflecting continued participation from both European and global markets.

Focus on innovation and startups

The SIAL Innovation programme will mark its 30th year in 2026 with an updated format that combines product display with tasting sessions through the SIAL Taste component.

Organisers expect more than 650 startups to attend, including about 150 featured within a dedicated startup zone, alongside a pitch platform where early-stage companies will present ideas to investors and buyers.

Business tools and industry discussions

The event will also host SIAL Summits and SIAL Talks, where speakers from across the industry will examine topics such as sustainability, consumer behaviour, digital adoption and supply chain challenges.

In addition, new business tools, including AI-based matchmaking, a Meet and Match system, scheduled speed meetings and an upgraded business lounge, are planned to support networking and commercial engagement.

As industry players continue to respond to changing market conditions, SIAL Paris 2026 is expected to provide a platform for companies to showcase products, form partnerships, and explore opportunities across production, packaging, and distribution.
