United Foods Company reports 17.8% revenue growth, higher profitability in Q1 2026 

United Foods Company posted strong Q1 2026 growth with rising revenue, improved margins and higher profitability despite ongoing geopolitical and economic pressures across the region.

UAE – United Foods Company has reported strong financial results for the first quarter ended 31 March 2026, driven by higher revenues, improved margins and stronger profitability across its regional operations. 

The company posted gross revenue of AED 218.8 million (US$59.58M) during the quarter, reflecting continued demand across its key markets and product categories.  

Net revenue increased 17.8% year-on-year to AED 208.3 million (US$, compared to AED 176.8 million (US$48.14M) recorded in the corresponding quarter of 2025. 

Revenue growth was supported by strong performances across multiple regions. In the UAE, revenue rose 18.9% to AED 157.8 million (US$42.97M) from AED 132.7 million (US$36.13M) in Q1 2025.  

Revenue from GCC markets outside the UAE increased 2.6% to AED 26.2 million (US$7.13M), while revenue from international markets climbed 31.1% to AED 24.3 million (US$6.62M). 

Despite ongoing geopolitical and macroeconomic challenges affecting the region, including inflation, commodity price pressures, supply chain disruptions and logistics costs, United Foods Company reported a significant improvement in profitability. 

Gross profit rose 51% to AED 38 million (US$10.35M), while gross profit margin improved to 18.3% from 14.3% in the same period last year. 

Earnings per share increased to AED 0.54 from AED 0.26 in Q1 2025. Total assets stood at AED 466.6 million (US$127.1M), while total equity reached AED 358.7 million (US$97.67M). 

Ali Bin Humaid Al Owais said the company’s performance reflects the resilience and long-term strength of the business. 

“United Foods Company’s first-quarter performance reflects the strength of a UAE-born business that has continued to evolve while staying true to its foundations,” Al Owais said. 

“For five decades, the company has played an important role in the food sector, and our priority today is to build on that legacy with discipline, resilience and a clear sense of responsibility,” he added. 

Al Owais said the company remains focused on creating sustainable value for shareholders while supporting the UAE’s food security objectives and strengthening its role as a trusted regional food business. 

The results come as the company advances its transformation strategy under the leadership of Mohamed Itani. Current initiatives include strengthening research and development, expanding product innovation and assessing opportunities for both organic and inorganic growth. 

The company is also evaluating options to expand its manufacturing footprint in high-growth regional markets. 

“Our Q1 performance gives us confidence for the year ahead and reinforces the growth opportunities we see for United Foods Company across a range of markets,” Itani said. 

“Our focus is on building a more agile, innovation-led food business that can respond faster to customer needs, strengthen our position in core categories, and unlock new avenues for growth,” he added. 

United Foods Company said sustainability, operational efficiency, automation and Emiratization remain central to its long-term growth strategy.
