Vinarchy completes distribution takeover of former Pernod Ricard wine brands in Australia and New Zealand

Vinarchy assumes direct distribution of global wine brands and invests in new production hubs to strengthen its leadership in the sector.

AUSTRALIA – Vinarchy has officially assumed distribution of its global wine portfolio acquired from Pernod Ricard, marking a major step in the company’s growth strategy across Australia and New Zealand.

The portfolio includes Jacob’s Creek, Stoneleigh, Church Road and Campo Viejo, among others.

The transition follows the end of a short distribution arrangement with Pernod Ricard, enabling retailers and distributors to order these brands directly through Vinarchy. Dedicated local teams have been established to support the transition, including a newly formed New Zealand commercial team headed by General Manager Kiri Hyde.

Andrew Clarke, Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand at Vinarchy, said the development enhances the company’s category leadership and ability to serve customers. “This is a major milestone for Vinarchy, enabling us to work even more closely with our trade partners across our portfolio of incredible brands,” Clarke stated.

In New Zealand, Vinarchy will continue to partner with Hancocks to distribute established Accolade labels such as Grant Burge, Mud House and Jam Shed. Globally, the company has secured partnerships with leading local distributors to ensure continuity and support brand growth.

Formed in May 2025 through the merger of Accolade Wines and Pernod Ricard Winemakers, Vinarchy is now one of the world’s largest dedicated wine businesses, combining operations across Australia, New Zealand and Spain.

The company has also announced significant investments to strengthen its winemaking operations. Rowland Flat, the former Australian home of Pernod Ricard Winemakers, will become Vinarchy’s new centre for premium and sparkling wine production following a US$30 million investment.

Meanwhile, Berri Estates, the largest winery in the Southern Hemisphere, will serve as Vinarchy’s primary commercial winemaking, packaging and warehousing hub in the Riverland region.

The company says these moves support its aim to deliver a stronger wine focus for customers and consumers while driving the growth of its extensive portfolio.
