Parker Food Group launches domestic Popping Boba line to meet rising demand

Parker Food Group aims to make boba more accessible by offering consistent, U.S.-produced supply, helping brands create craveable, on-trend beverages and desserts without the delays or uncertainties of imports.

U.S.A – Parker Food Group (PFG), a manufacturer of inclusions and specialty ingredient solutions, has officially launched its new Popping Boba product line, produced at its facility in Mexico, Missouri.

The expansion marks a significant step for the company, which has long been known for its innovation in toppings, baked inclusions, cookie pieces, pralines, and coatings for the bakery, ice cream, snack, and dessert industries.

The new popping boba pearls are designed to deliver vibrant flavor, striking visual appeal, and consistent performance across a range of beverage and dessert applications.

Historically, the boba category has been dominated by imports from Asia, leading to unpredictable lead times and supply chain challenges.

By moving production in-house, Parker Food Group is positioning itself as one of the few domestic producers capable of supplying the fast-growing U.S. market at scale.

The product line is available in standard 9 mm size and comes in 2–5 pound pouches, offering flexibility for both foodservice operators and industrial developers.

Flavors include a broad mix of fruit-forward options such as Mango, Strawberry, and Green Apple, as well as warm brown-note varieties like Brown Sugar, Coffee, and Yogurt.

Amber Jordan, Vice President of Quality at Parker Food Group, emphasized the importance of domestic production.

“Bringing popping boba production in-house has allowed us to deliver on what our customers value most, product consistency, food safety, and dependable lead times,” she said. “Every pouch is backed by rigorous process controls, allergen management, and the same operational standards applied across our entire portfolio.”

Both natural and artificial flavor options are available, with shelf-stable formats lasting 9 to 12 months, making them adaptable to diverse menu and retail needs.

Whitney Beem, Director of Marketing, highlighted the trend-driven nature of the launch. “Our goal is to help customers tap into the boba trend without the hurdles of import delays or inconsistent supply,” she explained. “Whether it’s a beverage program, limited-time offering, or packaged dessert, we’re ready to help build something craveable and on-trend.”

The launch further strengthens Parker Food Group’s reputation for Made-in-the-USA innovation, complementing its existing range of sprinkles, inclusions, crumbs, cookie pieces, and nut-based ingredients.

With the introduction of popping boba, the company is extending its role as a trusted partner to manufacturers and foodservice operators seeking not only a reliable supply but also inspiration for the next wave of consumer favorites.
