The leadership change comes as Keurig Dr Pepper strengthens its U.S. coffee portfolio and pursues major international acquisitions.

USA – Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) has appointed Olivier Lemire as the new President of its United States coffee business. Lemire succeeds Patrick Minogue, who was named U.S. coffee president in 2023 and will remain in an advisory role to support the transition through September 30, according to a Form 8-K SEC filing.
Lemire previously served as President of Keurig Dr Pepper Canada since 2021, overseeing significant growth in the company’s Canadian operations.
He joined KDP in 2011 and has held multiple leadership roles following a career spanning Procter & Gamble and Nike. With his move to the U.S. portfolio, KDP’s Vice President of Finance for Canada has been named Interim President of KDP Canada.
KDP U.S. CEO Tim Cofer highlighted Lemire’s track record of building teams and driving growth. “Olivier is a strong, people-centred leader who will help take our coffee business to the next level. He has done an exceptional job leading our Canadian coffee business, strengthening our position in that market while fostering a world-class team and culture,” said Cofer.
The appointment follows KDP’s recent announcement that it will acquire European coffee conglomerate JDE Peet’s for US$18 billion. Upon completion, the merged entity will be divided into two separate companies: Global Coffee Co. and Beverage Co.
JDE Peet’s owns notable brands such as Peet’s Coffee, Stumptown Coffee Roasters, Intelligentsia Coffee and Caribou Coffee’s roasting and packaged coffee operations.
KDP continues to dominate the North American single-serve coffee market through its Keurig platform. In its second-quarter results, the company reported net sales of US$4.16 billion, a 6.1% increase year-on-year, with volume growth reaching 5%.
The U.S. beverages division recorded net sales growth of 10.5%, up from 3.3% in the same quarter of the previous year.
