UAE – Ghitha Holding recorded an operating profit of US$72.9 million in the latest quarter, a 41.1 percent increase from the same period last year as its margin-enhancement initiatives gained momentum.
Gross profit for the period climbed 23.2 percent to US$239.6 million, driven by a combination of pricing discipline, cost efficiencies, and a shift toward a more profitable product mix.
The company restructured its fruits and vegetables division through its subsidiary NRTC Food Holding LLC, aiming to strengthen upstream operations and increase supply-chain stability.
Chief Executive Falal Ameen said the results demonstrate the impact of Ghitha’s approach to integrating its portfolio, focusing on margins, and improving operational performance, while the restructuring of fresh-produce operations enhances linkages across the value chain.
Ghitha also expanded its protein and dairy segment by acquiring Al Jazira Poultry and consolidating Arabian Farms, moves that have increased production capacity and diversified revenue streams in line with its mergers and acquisitions strategy.
Looking ahead, the company pointed to its role in forming Al Ain Farms Group, a national initiative combining five major brands, as part of a wider effort to strengthen food security and promote innovation in the UAE.
In October 2025, Ghitha’s parent company, International Holding Company (IHC), announced a plan to merge Ghitha with 2PointZero Holding and Multiply Group into a single investment platform with total assets of about US$32.6 billion, with the transaction expected to conclude by mid-November 2025.
Ghitha, which is incorporated in Abu Dhabi and is a subsidiary of IHC, operates through multiple brands including Al Ain Farms, Al Jazira Poultry, Arabian Farms, and Al Ajban Poultry, with a presence across protein, dairy, fresh produce, and seafood sectors contributing to the UAE’s national food resilience objectives.
