Hilton rolls out vegan menu across India with GoodDot during Veganuary

All 32 Hilton hotels in India are serving an all-vegan menu for one month

INDIA – Indian plant-based meat producer GoodDot Foods has partnered with Hilton to introduce a nationwide vegan menu across the hotel group’s India portfolio as part of the global Veganuary campaign.

The Pan-India Plant Protein Culinary Festival is running from January 14 to February 13 at 32 Hilton properties, including Hilton Hotels & Resorts, DoubleTree by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton by Hilton locations.

Under the initiative, Hilton is serving a menu built around GoodDot’s plant-based meat products, which are produced by the Udaipur-based startup and positioned as alternatives to conventional meat.

Hilton South Asia director of food and beverage operations Prashant Kulkarni said the collaboration was designed to respond to shifting guest preferences and international food trends by offering plant-protein dishes that align with conscious dining choices.

Indian and international dishes featured

The menu, available daily from 11am to 11pm, includes a mix of Indian and global recipes developed by Hilton’s culinary teams using GoodDot’s meat substitutes.

Starter options include a vegan version of Hyderabadi lukhmi filled with plant protein, achari-spiced vegan tikka finished with lemon, and Malaysian-style satay featuring skewered plant-based tenders served with peanut sauce.

Main dishes range from a plant-protein BBQ burger with vegan slaw and Cajun fries to a vegan adaptation of Rajasthani laal maans paired with gatte ka pulao, kachumber salad and pickled onions.

The menu also includes a Tex-Mex-style protein bowl with chilli made from plant-based crumbles alongside rice, beans, avocado and salsa, as well as a pasta dish prepared with vegan mince simmered in tomato sauce.

GoodDot founder and chief executive Abhishek Sinha said Veganuary provides an opportunity to introduce plant protein to a wider audience through familiar and indulgent formats.

Protein demand shapes foodservice strategies

Founded in 2016, GoodDot produces a range of plant-based meat alternatives including mutton-style pieces, chicken-like chunks, biryani products and egg-free scrambles.

The company has raised about US$7 million in funding to date and sells its products in markets such as the United States, Canada, Australia, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates, while also operating a foodservice arm with 15 outlets in Mumbai and Udaipur.

India’s protein market is valued at about US$1.5 billion, with surveys indicating that 37 percent of consumers want to increase their intake of plant-based protein.

Foodservice operators have responded with new offerings, including McDonald’s India adding protein slices to burgers, Starbucks India launching protein-based cold foams, and Haldiram’s incorporating GoodDot’s soya chaap into menus in North India.

Hilton has previously committed to reducing emissions through initiatives such as the Cool Food Pledge and is part of the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance, which has partnered with Vegan Hospitality to expand plant-based dining options globally.
