This is part of broader expansion beyond bakery origins

SAUDI ARABIA – Al Hatab Foods has inaugurated a new retail outlet in the Al Rawdah District of Ar Rass, expanding its supermarket-format presence within the Al Qassim region.
The newly opened Hatab Market branch on Al Shannanah Street, inside Al Rawdah Square, is designed to provide shoppers with an accessible format that combines everyday grocery items with freshly prepared foods and baked goods.
Shoppers at the new store will find a range of fresh daily goods alongside ready-to-eat meals and ready-to-cook ingredients targeted at meeting routine household needs.
The layout of the branch includes a coffee corner and other customer-oriented features, reflecting what the company describes as attention to operational details across its retail sites.
Company representatives stated that the convenience-focused setup aims to offer an integrated shopping experience for families and individual customers in the growing Ar Rass market.
Al Hatab Foods, formerly operating as Al Hatab Bakery, has steadily grown into a diversified food company within Saudi Arabia, positioning fresh food supply as its primary mission.
Originally established in 2005 with a single traditional bakery in Al Qassim, the business initially focused on basic baked goods before broadening its product range.
By 2017, the enterprise had expanded to include additional premium offerings and operated nine stores across two Saudi regions.
In the years that followed, the company continued to scale its retail footprint and, by 2024, had grown to 78 outlets across 11 regions in the kingdom.
In early 2025, the business changed its name to Al Hatab Foods to show its evolution into a wider food and beverage enterprise with export activity to Gulf Cooperation Council member states.
Today, the product range encompasses freshly baked breads and pastries, Arabic sweets, snacks and dips, ready-to-cook vegetables and cut fruits, juices, prepared meals, sandwiches, soups and salads, alongside fresh meats and groceries.
The company serves multiple customer segments, including households, working professionals and hospitality establishments, through its retail stores and foodservice supply channels.
Al Hatab Foods has also introduced premium supermarket formats under the Hatab Market brand, featuring a significant proportion of private-label items and chilled ready meals that the company says are uncommon in the current market.
Supporting its retail operations are large-scale production facilities, including a 20,000-square-meter bakery plant in Sudair Industrial City, commissioned in 2023, with capacity for 250 product lines, and a 47,357-square-meter fresh foods facility launched in 2025, producing 300 items.
