Tanmiah Food Company launches two new poultry facilities in Saudi Arabia
The company expands its processing and feed capacity to support food security and sustainable production goals.
SAUDI ARABIA – Tanmiah Food Company has officially opened two new facilities in Saudi Arabia’s central region, including a poultry processing plant in Al Majmaa and a feed mill in Dahna, during a ceremony attended by Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Abdulrahman Abdulmohsen AlFadley.
The inauguration took place at the Ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh in the presence of senior officials, Tanmiah Chairman Amr Al-Dabbagh, Group CEO Zulfiqar Hamadani, and members of the company’s board and executive team.
These facilities form part of Tanmiah’s wider expansion program and its investment of more than US$400 million (SAR 1.5 billion) within Saudi Arabia over the past two years, alongside the facilitation of over US$107 million (SAR 400 million) in foreign direct investment aimed at encouraging private sector growth in the agri-food industry.
The company stated that these developments are consistent with the national Vision 2030 strategy, which seeks to strengthen food security and reduce import dependence, as Saudi Arabia’s poultry market is projected to expand from US$5.13 billion in 2025 to nearly US$6.91 billion by 2030.
Expanding capacity and advancing sustainability
Majmaa 2, Tanmiah’s new poultry processing site, has been built to international specifications and features advanced systems capable of handling large birds, a first within the Kingdom’s poultry sector.
The facility includes a biological wastewater treatment plant capable of processing more than 6,000 cubic meters per day, with recycled water used for tree irrigation, and renewable energy sources such as solar power planned for future integration.
A section of the plant has been dedicated to product innovation, where Tanmiah’s value-added products, including the Taste Secrets range that earned the 3-Star Superior Taste Award 2025 from the International Taste Institute in Brussels, will be developed and produced.
Around 150,000 trees will also be planted in the vicinity of Majmaa 2 as part of Tanmiah’s “One Million Trees” initiative, which has already seen over 500,000 trees planted and aims to cut approximately 243,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions cumulatively.
Feed mill strengthens integrated operations
Meanwhile, the Dahna Feed Mill, now in its trial production phase, has a production capacity of 40 metric tons per hour and is strategically positioned near Tanmiah’s main farming zones to improve logistics and reduce operational costs.
The site operates on a fully automated line with strict quality control and biosecurity measures, and solar power integration is under evaluation to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability.
According to Tanmiah, the two new facilities will boost production efficiency, improve product quality, and generate new skilled job opportunities while supporting the country’s push toward food self-sufficiency.
Chairman Amr Al-Dabbagh said the new infrastructure represents progress in building a stronger and more secure food production system in the Kingdom.
CEO Zulfiqar Hamadani added that the new plant marks a key milestone for the company and reflects Tanmiah’s efforts to deploy advanced technologies, enhance consumer value, and contribute to the Vision 2030 sustainability and employment goals.
