The facility achieves the highest accreditation in slaughterhouse, meat cutting, and cold storage operations.

PHILIPPINES – Tarlac Meatmasters, Pilmico Farms’ meat-processing facility in Bamban, Tarlac, has become the first multi-meat establishment in the Philippines to attain AAA licenses across three categories.
The National Meat Inspection Services (NMIS) upgraded the facility’s Cold Storage Warehouse from AA to AAA on August 19, 2025, making it the highest-rated meat storage operation in the country.
The Triple A rating is granted to establishments that comply with rigorous operational procedures, international standards, and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) certification, allowing products to be distributed locally and internationally.
Prior to this, Tarlac Meatmasters earned AAA accreditation for its Slaughterhouse in 2021 and its Meat Cutting Plant in 2023, becoming the first facility in Tarlac to receive such recognition.
The total number of AAA-accredited facilities nationwide remains limited, with only eight slaughterhouses and ten meat-cutting plants holding this status.
During the audit, members of the Aboitiz Foods team collaborated with NMIS inspectors to evaluate the facility’s compliance with national and international meat safety standards.
Hendel Cabral, Aboitiz Foods First Vice President of Meat Division, emphasized the significance of achieving AAA accreditation across all three operations, highlighting the facility’s commitment to consistent food safety and quality management.
In addition to the Triple A licenses, Tarlac Meatmasters has secured six HACCP certifications from NMIS, demonstrating adherence to internationally recognized food safety protocols.
Since its launch in 2020, the facility has invested in high-grade equipment and advanced pork processing technologies, enhancing its capacity to produce meat that meets global standards.
As part of Pilmico, an Aboitiz Foods company, Tarlac Meatmasters contributes to the reliable supply of high-quality meat products for Philippine communities, aligning its operations with regulatory standards for safety and quality.
The facility’s ongoing focus on compliance and technology positions it among the country’s leading meat processors, capable of serving both domestic and export markets with certified safe products.
