Al Ain Farms Group merges five major poultry, eggs, other producers into a single national platform

The company is bringing UAE’s food brands under one roof at “Make it in the Emirates” forum

UAE – The UAE’s food industry is undergoing a major restructuring as Al Ain Farms Group (AAFG) is officially launched during the “Make it in the Emirates” Forum 2025.

The new group consolidates five established names in local food production — Al Ain Farms, Marmum Dairy, Al Ajban Chicken, Al Jazira Poultry Farm’s Golden Eggs, and Saha Arabian Farms — under one company.

This move brings together brands specializing in dairy, eggs, juice, and poultry, marking a key step in building a more coordinated food production network across the UAE.

AAFG is backed by Ghitha Holding, a publicly traded firm in the agriculture and food supply space, and Yas Holding, a diversified investment company based in Abu Dhabi.

Together, these stakeholders aim to create a single platform with the capacity to meet both national food requirements and regional demands.

The announcement comes over four decades after the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan founded Al Ain Farms in 1981 with just 200 cows to provide fresh milk locally for the first time.

Over time, that small operation has grown into a broader effort to secure food production within the country, expanding alongside population growth and shifting consumption patterns.

AAFG says the integration is aligned with the UAE’s national goals, including its Food Security Strategy 2051 and industrial development plans aimed at creating sustainable, local supply chains.

According to AAFG Chairman HE Tareq Abdulraheem Al Hosani, the group is expected to play a central role in shaping the future of food production through technology and local expertise.

Issa Najeeb Khoory, Deputy CEO of Ghitha Holding, noted that the formation of the group signals confidence in the UAE’s ability to meet future food needs without relying heavily on imports.

Yas Holding CEO Low Ping added that the group’s formation reflects an investment in long-term solutions for food supply challenges both in the UAE and beyond.

Group CEO Hassan Safi stated that the consolidation allows the brands to operate more efficiently and deliver products at a higher standard to consumers across the Emirates.

He also outlined AAFG’s goal of building partnerships in areas such as research, automation, and integrated production to strengthen its position in the regional market.

AAFG currently controls a significant portion of the UAE’s dairy and poultry sectors and has set out a five-year expansion plan focusing on innovation, increased production, and domestic supply.

The group plans to maintain a 24-hour farm-to-shelf model to keep products fresh and reduce reliance on imported goods.

All five brands now under AAFG’s umbrella are expected to retain their identities while benefiting from unified operations and shared resources.

As part of its mission, AAFG will also pursue projects that support national food security and improve access to protein and beverages across homes in the UAE.
