Ojaja soft drinks introduces two new variants to promote local manufacturing, healthier beverages in Nigeria

Ojaja Soft Drinks launches locally produced cola and orange beverages, highlighting Nigeria’s manufacturing potential, natural ingredients, and a broader push for economic growth and cultural pride.

NIGERIA – Ojaja Soft Drinks has launched Ojaja Cola and Ojaja Orange as part of a broader initiative to promote indigenous manufacturing, healthier beverage options, and economic growth in Nigeria.

The new products are manufactured using natural ingredients, aligning with efforts to provide consumers with healthier choices while supporting local job creation and industrial development.

Speaking at the unveiling, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, described the launch as a significant milestone for the country’s manufacturing sector.

“This achievement goes beyond beverages; it symbolises our national identity and our ability to deliver excellence from concept to completion without external dependence,” he said.

He noted that every stage of the production process is rooted in local expertise, from the aluminium cans manufactured within Nigeria to the formulation of the drinks.

According to him, this approach ensures that economic value is retained within the country while demonstrating the strength of Nigerian manufacturing capabilities.

The Ooni added that the beverages are designed to meet and exceed international standards, offering distinctive flavours while reshaping perceptions of locally made products.

“We are moving from seeing Nigerian-made goods as alternatives to embracing them as preferred choices,” he stated.

He further described the initiative as part of a broader vision to promote economic sovereignty and cultural pride, emphasising the role of consumption patterns in reinforcing national identity.

Ojaja Cola and Ojaja Orange are currently available at designated retail outlets in Akure and Lagos, marking the beginning of a planned nationwide rollout.
