World Cocoa Foundation names new board leadership as it advances sustainability, traceability, and resilience in the cocoa industry.

USA – The World Cocoa Foundation (WCF) has announced the appointment of Tricia Brannigan, Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer at The Hershey Company, as the new Chair of its Board of Directors.

Brannigan steps into the role after serving as the Foundation’s Vice Chair and Treasurer.

Brannigan brings extensive experience in the cocoa and confectionery sectors and will lead WCF’s strategic direction as it continues to address industry-wide challenges through collaboration, sustainability, and innovation.

She succeeds Christine McGrath, Senior Vice President and Chief Impact & Sustainability Officer at Mondelēz International, who completed her term in May.

“I am honoured to take on the role of Chair and look forward to supporting the continued evolution of the WCF strategy,” Brannigan stated.

“Together, we have the opportunity to drive meaningful change for the cocoa sector and shape a more sustainable and resilient future for the entire value chain.”

Liberato Milo, Head of Confectionery, Ice Cream, Cocoa Beverages & Permissible Snacking SBU at Nestlé, has been appointed Vice-Chair and Treasurer. Milo is also a member of the WCF Finance and Audit Committee.

Tejinder Singh Saraon, CEO of ofi’s global cocoa platform, will continue as Board Officer and Secretary, while Kojo Amoo-Gottfried, Managing Director, Cocoa and Chocolate, North America and Indulgence at Cargill, will remain as Vice-Chair.

WCF President Chris Vincent highlighted that the Foundation is focused on supporting members amid growing regulatory requirements and rising expectations for supply chain traceability and compliance.
