Line-up includes bowls, sandwiches and waffles with up to 40g protein per serving

USA – Tyson Foods has expanded its Jimmy Dean portfolio with a new selection of frozen meals focused on higher protein content, as consumption trends shift toward protein-rich diets across different eating occasions.
The company said the latest additions are designed to move beyond traditional breakfast offerings by providing convenient meal options that align with consumer interest in protein intake throughout the day.
The new range features High Protein Bowls that contain up to 40g of protein per serving, combining scrambled eggs with ingredients such as chicken, sausage, bacon and cheese in varieties including Chipotle Chicken, Classic Sausage and Bacon, and Zesty Monterey and Bacon.
Alongside the bowls, the company has introduced High Protein Sandwiches delivering around 25g of protein per serving, with options such as grilled chicken on ciabatta, sausage on a spiral croissant, and a breakfast burger served on brioche.
Expanding further into adjacent categories, the brand has also launched Protein Waffles in the frozen aisle, each providing 20g of protein per serving and offered in flavours including buttermilk, blueberry and cinnamon.
According to Kristina Lambert, chief growth officer at Tyson Foods, protein consumption is no longer limited to breakfast and is increasingly shaping food choices throughout the day.
She stated that the new products are intended to combine convenience with nutritional value while maintaining the taste profile associated with the Jimmy Dean brand.
The company added that the expanded line aims to meet demand from consumers seeking quick meal solutions that still align with dietary goals centred on protein intake.
Distribution for the new products has already begun, with the items now available in selected retail outlets across the United States as the company tests market response to the expanded offering.
