Australia’s Offshore Alkaline vodka to debut in Uganda

A premium Australian alkaline vodka brand is set to make its African debut through Uganda this December.

UGANDA – Offshore Alkaline Vodka, an Australian-produced premium spirit, will be launched in Uganda on December 13, 2025, marking its official entry into the African market.

The rollout will be led by Pearl Liquors Uganda Ltd., which has secured exclusive rights to import and distribute the brand across the continent.

The product is crafted using a patented method that blends five-times distilled wheat vodka with alkaline mineral water, resulting in a pH level between 8.5 and 9.5.

Producers state that this combination delivers a smoother and cleaner taste compared to conventional vodkas. The brand is positioned toward the expanding “better-for-you” alcoholic beverages segment, which has gained popularity among health-conscious consumers aged 25 to 45.

Pearl Liquors Chief Executive Stuart Raymond Kasule, a Ugandan who previously lived in Australia, played a central role in facilitating the vodka’s entry into Uganda.

His efforts align with national initiatives encouraging members of the diaspora to leverage international networks and expertise to support private-sector development.

The introduction of Offshore Alkaline Vodka comes at a time of rising global demand for premium spirits and continued growth in Uganda’s luxury hospitality sector.

Pearl Liquors plans to establish Uganda as a strategic hub for regional distribution as interest in high-end beverages increases across East Africa.

Industry observers note that Uganda’s young population, strategic location, and expanding hospitality landscape position it as a viable destination for new premium beverage brands.

The launch event is expected to attract distributors, hoteliers, and bar operators preparing for heightened festive-season demand.
