Top awards for strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries affirm BerryWorld’s commitment to flavour and consistency.
UK – BerryWorld has again earned international praise, winning multiple awards for its fruit varieties at the 2025 Superior Taste Awards in Brussels.
This comes just months after the company’s strawberries and raspberries won gold and silver at the 2025 New Zealand Outstanding Food Producers Awards.
At the Brussels event, BerryWorld stood out across its entire product range. A jury of over 200 chefs and sommeliers judged the entries through blind tastings, focusing on flavour, appearance, texture, and overall quality.
BerryWorld’s newer entries – Reyes raspberries, Sweet Karoline blackberries, and Eves Joy strawberries – received Sweet Taste Awards. Established favourites like Jewel raspberries, Eves Delight strawberries, and Eureka blueberries were also recognised, the latter two winning for a second time.
Samuel Rowe, divisional CEO for BerryWorld Varieties, credited the company’s achievements to its farming and breeding teams. “This success wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work of our expert grower-base and breeding partners at BerryWorld Plus, Edward Vinson, and Mountain Blue,” he said.
“These awards reflect our commitment to excellence in flavour and innovation. We’re proud to see both our well-established, as well as our most recent varieties, celebrated on the global stage by independent experts.”
The awards ceremony on June 3 attracted a wide range of entries. In total, 2,673 products went through the tasting process. The format, which includes blind judging by professionals, has become a benchmark for quality in the food and drink sector.
A strong year for BerryWorld
BerryWorld had already started 2025 on a strong note. At the New Zealand Outstanding Food Producers Awards, the company received top honours in the Earth, Fresh Produce category.
Its strawberries earned a gold medal for quality, flavour, and sustainable production methods. Its raspberries followed closely with a silver medal, strengthening the brand’s position in premium produce.
These results follow years of investment in breeding partnerships and production practices aimed at improving shelf life, taste, and consistency.
BerryWorld’s strategy continues to focus on delivering reliable quality through collaboration with leading programs around the world.
The Superior Taste Awards also featured wins from other global producers. Romanian companies such as Dacia Dining, Merryberry, and A&A Farms were among those recognised for excellence across food and beverage categories.
Taiwan Sugar Corporation also earned awards for its mackerel in tomato sauce, roasted eel with black garlic, and golden sugar.
But for BerryWorld, the repeated honours reinforce a growing reputation. With a mix of new introductions and proven favourites, the company’s presence across international tasting panels signals strong momentum going forward.
