New LEED Gold-certified factory targets 1 billion liters annual output, prioritizes sustainability and local business partnerships.

VIETNAM – Coca-Cola Beverages Vietnam Limited, a subsidiary of the Swire Coca-Cola Group, has officially inaugurated its largest and most technologically advanced production facility in Vietnam.
Located in Phu An Thanh Industrial Park in Tay Ninh province, the US$136 million plant spans 19 hectares and significantly expands Coca-Cola Vietnam’s manufacturing capabilities.
The newly launched facility is equipped with five state-of-the-art production and bottling lines, offering a total annual capacity of up to one billion liters.
It is now the largest among Coca-Cola Vietnam’s three factories and will focus on producing the company’s most popular beverage lines.
Notably, the Tay Ninh facility is the first food and beverage factory in Vietnam to achieve LEED Gold certification, a globally recognized mark of excellence in sustainable building practices.
The plant incorporates advanced technologies aimed at improving energy efficiency and environmental sustainability, including optimized space cooling, advanced heat rejection systems, and energy-efficient lighting.
In addition to its modern infrastructure, the factory integrates renewable energy solutions. A 6MW rooftop solar system and a 10-ton biomass boiler have been installed to replace traditional diesel energy sources, aiming to reduce the facility’s carbon footprint.
Water conservation is another key feature. The plant’s design allows for the recovery and reuse of up to 89% of water processed during manufacturing, reflecting Coca-Cola’s broader water stewardship goals.
Speaking at the inauguration, Vietnam’s Vice Minister of Finance Nguyen Duc Tam praised the investment, describing the project as a strategic development and a symbol of international cooperation.
He expressed confidence in Coca-Cola’s role as a leading foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprise and encouraged the company to continue driving innovation, green transformation, and digital modernization.
Tam also urged Coca-Cola to strengthen its engagement with the local business community and prioritize Vietnamese suppliers to further develop the national ecosystem.
Coca-Cola Beverages Vietnam, which has operated in the country for 31 years, has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to sustainability.
The company is one of the founding members of the Packaging Recycling Organization Vietnam (PRO Vietnam) and supports initiatives such as The Ocean Cleanup and UNDP-backed waste reduction projects across Asia.
Additionally, the firm has collaborated with the World Wildlife Fund since 2007 through the “Water for Life” initiative in Tram Chim National Park to preserve freshwater ecosystems, aligning with Vietnam’s environmental targets and Coca-Cola’s global sustainability mission.
