New zero-alcohol variant enters select US Northeast markets this May, with national availability planned for 2027

USA – Coors Light has introduced its first nonalcoholic beer under the Coors brand as its parent company, Molson Coors, continues to widen its presence in alcohol-free beverages.
The new product, Coors 0.0%, is set to launch in selected markets across the northeastern United States in May 2026, with broader nationwide distribution scheduled for 2027.
The release forms part of Molson Coors’ ongoing shift toward building a stronger nonalcoholic portfolio as drinking habits evolve and demand for alcohol-free options increases among consumers.
The company already markets several nonalcoholic beers, including Blue Moon Non-Alcoholic, Peroni 0.0, and Coors Edge, which together have helped it establish a foothold in the category.
Growth in this segment has been supported by existing performance, with Molson Coors reporting that its nonalcoholic Blue Moon line has expanded by 25%, according to CEO Rahul Goyal during remarks at the CAGNY conference earlier this year.
Beyond beer, Molson Coors has been diversifying into adjacent beverage categories, including energy drinks and mixers, as part of a wider effort to adjust its business model.
The company has also entered the ready-to-drink cocktail segment following its acquisition of Monaco Cocktails, marking a further step away from a beer-only focus.
These moves reflect a broader attempt to respond to changing consumer preferences, particularly among drinkers shifting toward lower or no-alcohol products.
Other global brewers, including Heineken and Modelo, have also expanded their nonalcoholic beer offerings as part of the same consumer trend toward reduced alcohol consumption.
This industry-wide activity comes as overall alcohol intake shows signs of weakening in several markets, prompting major brewers to reposition their product lines.
With Coors 0.0% entering the market, Molson Coors is continuing its push to compete more directly in the growing nonalcoholic beer category while maintaining its presence in traditional beer segments.
