GNT Group strengthens its China presence with a Shanghai office and lab, boosting support for clean-label EXBERRY® colors amid growing demand for plant-based ingredients.

CHINA – GNT Group has announced the opening of its first dedicated office and application laboratory in Shanghai, China, as part of its strategy to meet rising demand for plant-based EXBERRY colors in the country.
The move underscores the company’s commitment to supporting Chinese food and beverage manufacturers with tailored, clean-label solutions.
The new facility is designed to strengthen GNT’s local presence and enhance its ability to respond quickly to market needs. It will provide customers with access to a full spectrum of EXBERRY® color concentrates, which are derived from non-GMO fruits, vegetables, and plants using physical processing methods and water.
Under China’s latest industry standards, these products are classified as Coloring Foods and can be labeled with simple ingredient declarations such as “carrot coloring ingredient.”
The Shanghai application laboratory will play a central role in delivering technical and innovation support. It will host customer training sessions and workshops, while offering services including concept development, formulation support, and stability testing.
The facility is expected to help accelerate product development cycles and improve collaboration with local partners.
