PepsiCo introduces Dirty Mountain Dew Cream Soda as it taps into the fast-growing dirty soda beverage trend.

USA – PepsiCo is set to enter the rapidly expanding dirty soda market with the launch of Dirty Mountain Dew Cream Soda, scheduled for nationwide release in early 2026.
The new drink blends Mountain Dew’s signature citrus profile with cream soda, marking the brand’s first entry into the social media-fueled craze.
Dirty soda, a customizable drink trend, typically combines soft drinks with coffee creamers and flavored syrups. It gained widespread popularity through Utah-based beverage chain Swig and the reality show The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
The beverages are also gaining attention as alcohol alternatives that still deliver unique and premium consumption experiences.
According to the Food Institute, citing MenuData, the dirty soda market is growing at a 42% rate, significantly outpacing the flat growth of traditional sodas. Industry players including Dr. Pepper, McDonald’s, and Sonic have already introduced their own variations to meet consumer demand.
PepsiCo highlighted that the new product responds to Generation Z’s increasing preference for flavor-forward beverages and customizable options.
“Dirty Mountain Dew Cream Soda, with its creamy indulgent taste, is just another example of how we leverage innovation to engage our fans,” said Mark Kirkham, chief marketing officer for PepsiCo Beverages U.S.
In addition to the Mountain Dew rollout, PepsiCo will also expand the dirty soda offering with a root beer float-inspired Mug Root Beer beverage. Named Mug Floats Vanilla Howler, the drink is expected to debut in summer 2026.
With these launches, PepsiCo aims to reinforce its position as a leader in beverage innovation while capitalizing on one of the fastest-growing drink trends in the U.S.
