Campbell’s Chunky partners with Pabst Blue Ribbon for beer-infused soups

Both recipes are designed for versatility, whether enjoyed straight from the can, paired with soft pretzels, or layered onto game-day favorites like hot dogs and nachos.

U.S.A – Campbell’s Chunky, the hearty soup brand known for its bold recipes, has teamed up with Pabst Blue Ribbon (PBR) to launch two new limited-edition beer-infused soups.

The collaboration combines the rich, malty flavor of PBR with the hearty appeal of Chunky, creating what the two companies describe as “the ultimate flavor collaboration.”

The first offering, Chunky x Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer Cheese with Potatoes & Chorizo Soup, features savory chorizo sausage and chunky potatoes simmered in creamy cheese infused with PBR beer flavor.

The second, Chunky x Pabst Blue Ribbon Beef, Bacon & Beer Chili with Beans, brings together seasoned beef, smoky bacon, hearty beans, and a touch of PBR flavor for a robust chili experience.

“This is the ultimate flavor collaboration,” said Ryan Pawling, Senior Brand Manager at Campbell’s Chunky. “Our fans love bold, unexpected taste experiences, and pairing Chunky’s hearty recipes with the iconic, malty flavor of PBR brings something totally unique to the soup aisle.”

Both recipes are designed for versatility, whether enjoyed straight from the can, paired with soft pretzels, or layered onto game-day favorites like hot dogs and nachos.

Rachel Keeton, Senior Brand Director at Pabst, added, “We always like to do things a little differently at Pabst, so when the opportunity came to work with an iconic brand like Chunky, we knew this was a no-brainer. It’s a bold, unexpected collaboration that celebrates flavor, fun, and the spirit of both brands.”

To support the launch, Campbell’s and Pabst will kick off a fall food truck sampling tour beginning September 3.

The tour will visit Walmart locations nationwide for a month-long activation, giving fans a chance to sample the new soups and engage with both brands in a lively, experiential setting.

Fourth-Quarter Results

Alongside the new product launch, Campbell’s reported its fourth-quarter and full-year fiscal 2025 results.

Net sales in the quarter rose 1% to US$2.3 billion, aided by an additional week in the fiscal calendar, though organic net sales declined 3% due to softer volume.

Gross profit improved to US$705 million from US$675 million, with margins benefiting from cost savings and productivity gains, even as inflationary pressures persisted.

For the full fiscal year, net sales increased 6% to US$10.3 billion, while adjusted EBIT grew 2% to US$1.5 billion.

Adjusted EPS declined 4% to US$2.97, reflecting higher interest expenses. Campbell’s also highlighted progress on its multi-year cost-savings program, raising its target from US$250 million to US$375 million by 2028.

The dual focus on innovation, such as bold collaborations with PBR, and financial discipline underscores Campbell’s strategy of driving relevance with consumers while sustaining long-term growth.
