Uganda Breweries appoints Felicite Nson as new Managing Director

Felicite Nson steps in as Uganda Breweries’ new MD, succeeding Andrew Kilonzo, who takes leadership at Kenya Breweries.

UGANDA – Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) has announced the appointment of Felicite Nson as its new Managing Director, effective October 1, 2025.

Nson succeeds Andrew Kilonzo, who transitions to become Managing Director of Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) after leading UBL for three and a half years.

Before joining UBL, Nson served as Managing Director of Guinness Ghana Breweries, where she drove consistent double-digit growth and sustained market leadership for Guinness for eight consecutive years.

With more than 20 years of experience across multinational companies including Diageo, Coca-Cola, and MTN, she has built a reputation for delivering transformative strategies and strong commercial results.

Her career includes leading premiumisation initiatives for brands such as Guinness and Smirnoff, strengthening their market positions while achieving healthy margins.

In a farewell message, Kilonzo praised Nson’s track record: “I now leave Uganda Breweries in the capable hands of Felicite Nson, who brings with her a wealth of experience and an impressive record of delivering growth and transformation across several Diageo markets. I am confident that under Felicite’s leadership, UBL will continue to thrive.”

Kilonzo will work closely with Nson until September 30, 2025, to ensure a smooth leadership transition. He takes over from Mark Ocitti at KBL, who steps down on the same date after serving the company for a decade.
