Zevia has named industry veteran Alexandre Ruberti as CEO, signaling a leadership shift aimed at accelerating growth and strengthening profitability.

UK – Zevia has announced the appointment of Alexandre Ruberti as its new president and chief executive officer, effective immediately, as the zero-sugar beverage company moves to accelerate growth and improve profitability.
Ruberti succeeds Amy Taylor, who has stepped down to take leadership of Angel City Football Club in the National Women’s Soccer League. Taylor will remain on Zevia’s board of directors and work alongside Ruberti until August 7 to ensure a smooth transition.
Ruberti joined Zevia’s board in August 2024 and brings more than 25 years of experience in the consumer packaged goods sector, with a strong focus on the beverage industry across the Americas.
Prior to his appointment, he served as chief executive officer of Future Farm, a plant-based food and beverage company. He also spent 16 years at Red Bull, where he held senior leadership roles including president of Red Bull Distribution Company and chief commercial officer of Red Bull North America.
During his time at Red Bull, Ruberti led distribution expansion, commercial execution, and profitability initiatives as the company scaled its North American operations.
Earlier in his career, he held senior sales, marketing, and distribution roles within the Coca-Cola bottling system. He has also served on the boards of several public and private companies, including Celsius Holdings and ZICO Rising.
Ruberti said Zevia is entering a new phase of growth following a period of internal strengthening.
“Zevia has reached a clear inflection point and established a strong foundation for accelerated growth and profitability,” he said. “The focus now shifts from rebuilding to accelerating execution and capturing the full potential of the brand.”
Zevia, headquartered in California, went public in 2021. The company reported approximately US$161 million in sales in 2025, slightly below its 2022 performance, its first full year as a listed company.
The company’s stevia-sweetened beverages, which contain no artificial colors or flavors, continue to hold a strong position in the health-focused drinks category as consumers increasingly reduce sugar intake. Zevia has expanded its portfolio to include energy drinks, teas, and mixers.
Chairman Andy Ruben said Ruberti’s familiarity with the business, combined with his industry experience, positions him to lead the company into its next stage of development.
The board expressed confidence that he will strengthen Zevia’s strategy, drive innovation, and create long-term value for shareholders.
