Azelis expands dsm-firmenich partnership for food & beverage ingredients in Singapore, Malaysia

Distribution agreement strengthens regional access to nutrition, enzyme and premix solutions for food manufacturers.

ASIA – Azelis has expanded its partnership with dsm-firmenich to distribute the company’s Food & Beverage Ingredient Solutions portfolio in Singapore and Malaysia, strengthening technical support and ingredient availability for regional food and beverage manufacturers.

Effective 1 August 2026, the expanded agreement broadens Azelis’ Food & Nutrition portfolio in both markets, providing customers with local access to a comprehensive range of ingredient solutions backed by formulation expertise, regulatory support and commercial services.

The portfolio includes premix solutions, vitamins and antioxidants, carotenoids, nutritional ingredients, nutritional lipids, cultures, food and dairy enzymes, excluding baking enzymes, hydrocolloids, and antibiotic residue testing kits.

The companies said the collaboration will enable manufacturers to accelerate product development while responding to evolving consumer demand for healthier, more functional food and beverage products.

The agreement builds on the companies’ existing collaboration in India and reflects their strategy of expanding access to innovative ingredient technologies through strong local distribution networks and technical application support.

For dsm-firmenich, the partnership strengthens its commercial presence in Singapore and Malaysia by leveraging Azelis’ established customer relationships, market knowledge and application capabilities.

Meanwhile, Azelis further enhances its position as an innovation partner for food manufacturers by expanding its portfolio of functional ingredients and nutrition solutions.

Christian Petersen, Senior Director Regional Sales APA TTH at dsm-firmenich, said the expansion demonstrates the company’s confidence in Azelis’ ability to support customers through technical expertise and application development.

“Expanding our partnership with Azelis in Singapore and Malaysia reflects our confidence in their local market knowledge and ability to support customers with technical expertise and application development. Together, we look forward to helping food and beverage manufacturers accelerate innovation and respond to changing consumer needs,” he said.

Kamal Hezry, Managing Director for Malaysia and Vietnam at Azelis, said the collaboration will enable the company to offer a broader ingredient portfolio while helping manufacturers bring innovative products to market more efficiently.

The expanded partnership comes as food manufacturers across Southeast Asia continue investing in nutrition, clean-label formulations and functional food innovation, driving demand for advanced ingredient solutions supported by local technical expertise and regulatory guidance.
