UGANDA – Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda (CCBU) emerged as a leading winner at the Brand Africa 100 Uganda Awards, held on August 27, 2025, at the Kampala Serena Hotel, where it received four prestigious accolades that recognized its excellence, consumer trust, and positive contributions to society.
The soft drink producer, part of the Coca-Cola Beverages Africa group, was named the Most Admired Brand in Uganda. This recognition highlights the company’s continued ability to deliver high-quality products while maintaining a strong relationship with consumers in a competitive and rapidly evolving market.
Rwenzori Pure Natural Mineral Water, one of the flagship brands in the CCBU portfolio, was awarded the title of Most Admired Ugandan Brand in the Non-Alcoholic Beverage Category. The brand has earned nationwide loyalty, becoming a symbol of purity and pride in Uganda due to its consistent commitment to quality and consumer trust.
The company’s broader purpose-driven initiatives also came under the spotlight. CCBU was honored with the award for Most Admired Brand Contributing to a Better Africa, in recognition of its role in advancing inclusive growth and sustainable business practices that extend beyond commercial success.
Furthermore, it received the accolade of Most Admired Brand Doing Good for Society and the Environment, underscoring its leadership in environmental stewardship and its contributions to community development.
Speaking at the event, Kirunda Magoola, CCBU’s Public Affairs, Communication and Sustainability Director, stated that the awards reaffirm the company’s mission of creating shared value for its business, its people, and the communities it serves. He emphasized that CCBU will continue fostering growth, innovation, and societal impact across Africa.
The Brand Africa 100 Awards, launched in 2010, are based on consumer insights and recognize brands that drive admiration and impact. The initiative highlights not only commercial success but also trust, loyalty, and contributions to society.
