POLAND – HAGRIC Woźniecki s., a prominent player in the marketing and transportation of livestock, has partnered with Pig Improvement Company (PIC), a global leader in pig breeding.
This collaboration aims to enhance the quality and efficiency of pig breeding in Poland by commercializing PIC’s genetic advancements.
PIC, with over six decades of experience in improving pig genetics, sees this partnership as a significant milestone – It will facilitate the distribution of PIC’s high-quality genetics to Polish pig farmers, thereby enhancing local pig breeding practices.
Based in Szczeglino, HAGRIC has cemented its status as a market leader over its 27-year history.
HAGRIC also engages in grain trading, handling both feed and consumption grains, alongside the purchase and sale of cattle. The company is renowned for its comprehensive and professional services.
The company specializes in the buying, selling, and transportation of both breeding and slaughter animals domestically and internationally.
As a fully Polish-owned enterprise, HAGRIC also excels in importing piglets and managing the contract trade, purchase, and sale of fattening pigs.
With a workforce of over 300 skilled employees, the company operates a fleet of more than 100 animal transport vehicles, complete with its own maintenance and specialized washing facilities.
Dr. Thomas Müller, Key Account Manager at PIC, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, “We are delighted to join forces with HAGRIC. Their extensive experience and strong market presence in Poland make them the perfect partner to effectively market our genetics and elevate pig breeding standards in the country.”
“This partnership is a crucial advancement for both companies. By merging our deep market insights and robust infrastructure with PIC’s world-renowned genetics, we can offer superior breeding solutions to our clients in Poland,” stated Sylwester Wozniecki, CEO of HAGRIC.
Through this partnership, Polish piglet producers will gain access to PIC’s comprehensive breeding program.
The initial batch of Camborough® gilts has already been delivered from a PIC multiplier in the Czech Republic, marking the beginning of this strategic venture aimed at transforming Poland’s pig breeding industry.
