IFF consolidates operations in Mexico to enhance customer-centric innovations

IFF’s new facilities in Mexico City align with similar initiatives in markets worldwide, where the company has established technology and innovation hubs.

MEXICO – International Flavours & Fragrances (IFF), a global leader in food ingredients, has announced it will combine majority of its business operations at a new site in Mexico City within the Tecnoparque business complex to serve customers with leading innovations.

The move will begin immediately with its Global Business Services Centre, which supports the company’s complete business capabilities and serves Mexican and Latin American markets. It is expected to be finalised by 2026.

According to the company’s statement, the new facilities will house up to 650 employees across its Health & Biosciences, Scent, Taste, and Food Ingredients businesses, making it one of IFF’s largest office locations.

Erik Fyrwald, IFF CEO, said, “Mexico’s rich cultural heritage, traditions and captivating sensorial experiences make it a strategic market in our global growth strategy. By moving to this new site, IFF is better positioned to win with customers by leveraging the collective power of science and creativity across our businesses in one physical location.”

The new facility includes labs focused on product creation, design, testing, research and development, and business services.

The offices will also incorporate spaces designed for collaboration, unique immersive experiences and co-creation with customers, further enabling IFF to tap into Mexico’s vibrant and exciting culture, cuisine and history.

Deborah Borg, IFF’s chief people officer, emphasised that attracting, developing, and retaining top talent is essential for sustainable business growth.

She highlighted that the new Mexico City location provides employees with a dynamic work environment featuring open workspaces, advanced technology, natural surroundings, and initiatives promoting health and wellness.
