Lucretia Löscher appointed COO of Big Dutchman AG

GERMANY – Lucretia Löscher has joined Big Dutchman AG as its new Chief Operating Officer, taking responsibility for the company’s operational activities from 1 August 2026.

The 43-year-old executive brings experience from international industrial companies, where she has worked across management roles involving complex operations, organisational changes and business processes.

Before moving to Big Dutchman, Löscher served as COO of Thyssenkrupp Uhde, a global engineering and plant construction business, while her earlier career included senior positions at Siemens Energy and Osram Lighting Solutions.

Her academic background spans law, business administration and management, with studies completed in Leipzig, Germany, and Paris, France, and she later completed a senior executive programme in artificial intelligence at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston.

Alongside her corporate career, Löscher is a qualified emergency medical technician and volunteers with the Red Cross.

New leadership role

Big Dutchman said Löscher was selected for her management experience and background in international industrial businesses, with Supervisory Board Chairman Bernd Meerpohl saying her appointment would support the company as it develops its operations.

Chief Executive Officer Steffen Bersch said the company’s next stage of growth would require international experience and a strategic approach to managing change, adding that he expected to work closely with Löscher and the wider team.

Löscher said her priorities would include improving operational performance, adapting internal processes to customer requirements and supporting the company’s long-term development.

The appointment comes as Big Dutchman continues to operate as a global supplier of equipment and technology for commercial livestock production, rather than processing meat itself.

The company provides systems used in poultry and pig production, covering areas such as automated feeding and drinking, housing, ventilation, heating, cooling and air-cleaning equipment.

Its portfolio also includes digital management systems that allow producers to monitor flock and herd performance and manage production data remotely.

Big Dutchman supplies equipment for commercial poultry operations involving broilers, laying hens and turkeys, as well as systems designed for pig farms.

With Löscher now overseeing operations, the company is set to focus on its internal processes and operational performance as it pursues its next phase of business development.
