Indian beer brand Medusa enters Haryana with its premium offerings, tapping into the state’s dynamic and evolving consumer base.

INDIA – Medusa Beverages, one of India’s fastest-growing beer brands, has officially launched its range in Haryana, marking a significant milestone in its north India expansion strategy.
With this move, the company continues its vision of making premium, easy-drinking beers accessible to a broader audience across the country.
The launch introduces Medusa’s flagship product, Medusa Premium Beer, along with other popular variants such as Medusa Air and House of the Dragon, to consumers in Haryana.
These products are now available across various retail outlets, bars, restaurants, and liquor stores in major cities including Gurgaon, Faridabad, Panipat, Karnal, Hisar, and Ambala.
Avneet Singh, Founder and CEO of Medusa Beverages, emphasized the strategic importance of the Haryana market, citing its close proximity to the brand’s stronghold in Delhi-NCR and its fast-evolving lifestyle trends.
“Cities like Gurgaon and Faridabad are hubs of youth culture, nightlife, and changing preferences — which aligns perfectly with what Medusa stands for,” he said.
Founded in 2017, Medusa Beverages has gained traction for its bold flavor profiles and modern brand identity.
The Delhi-based company has built a strong market presence across Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Himachal Pradesh, and operates a brewery in Punjab. It claims to have achieved market leadership in Delhi’s crown market within five years of launch.
The expansion into Haryana follows a successful Series A funding round, where the company raised Rs 56 crore (US$6.6 million) earlier this year.
The capital is being used to scale operations and invest in strategic partnerships across the value chain, further boosting Medusa’s national footprint.
Medusa’s entry into Haryana comes at a time when India’s alcoholic beverage (alcobev) industry is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8–10%, reaching a value of Rs 5.3 lakh crore (US$61.97 billion) by FY2026, according to Crisil Ratings.
While spirits dominate the alcobev segment, accounting for 65–70% of total industry revenue, beer continues to grow steadily, driven by factors such as urbanisation, a rising drinking-age population, and increasing disposable incomes. Industry volume is expected to rise 5–6% annually, creating opportunities for emerging brands like Medusa.
With its distinctive product range and aggressive expansion strategy, Medusa Beverages aims to strengthen its position in India’s competitive alco-bev landscape.
