Expansion into major retail chains and new product platforms drive sales.

BRAZIL – Pilgrim’s Pride Corp.’s chicken brand Just Bare surpassed US$1 billion in retail sales in 2025.
Company executives said the brand gained market share over the past year and expanded its presence in large retail chains across the United States.
According to Pilgrim’s, which is majority-owned by JBS, Just Bare leads the sales pace in the fully cooked chicken segment and increased its market share from 1% to 13% over three years.
Fabio Sandri, chief executive officer of Pilgrim’s, said the milestone reflects the company’s investment in product development, operational efficiency, and consumer-focused growth.
Sandri added that the milestone demonstrates the organization’s efforts to build a prepared foods portfolio with higher value products, with Just Bare positioned at the forefront.
The company attributed the growth to double-digit increases in distribution across mass, club, and grocery channels, while its frozen fully cooked products generated over US$750 million in revenue.
Another factor in Just Bare’s growth was the performance of its Oven Roasted line, which the company said appealed to consumers for its clean-label ingredients and quick 1.5-minute preparation time.
Sergion Nahuz, president of prepared foods for Pilgrim’s, said JBS contributed to Just Bare reaching the US$1 billion in retail sales threshold through operational scale and a product innovation pipeline.
Nahuz added that investments in people, facilities, and brands have supported faster product development and sustained performance across the prepared foods business.
The growth of Just Bare aligns with Pilgrim’s and JBS plans to expand in value-added and prepared foods, including a new chicken processing plant under construction in Walker County, Georgia.
JBS USA conducted a groundbreaking ceremony for the new facility in November 2025, which will focus on producing Just Bare prepared chicken products.
