Reliance Consumer Products launches Campa Beverages in Sri Lanka

The iconic Indian beverage brand debuts in Sri Lanka with a nostalgic yet modern range targeting diverse consumer preferences.

SRI LANKA – Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL) has partnered with Ceylon Cold Stores, the manufacturer and distributor of the Elephant House brand, to launch the Campa Beverages range in Sri Lanka.

This collaboration marks a significant expansion for RCPL, following the reintroduction of Campa Cola to the Indian market in 2023. The move also builds on the two companies’ earlier partnership, which saw the successful entry of Elephant House Beverages into India in February 2024.

Through the launch, the companies aim to deliver high-quality and affordable beverages that combine nostalgic appeal with modern consumer tastes. Campa’s entry is supported by the extensive distribution network and operational scale of Ceylon Cold Stores, a subsidiary of the John Keells Group.

RCPL acquired the Campa Cola brand in 2022, revitalising a name that resonated strongly with Indian consumers in the 1970s and 1980s. The Sri Lankan introduction seeks to replicate this success by offering a diverse range that caters to local preferences.

“We believe Campa Cola has multi-generational relevance, sparking memories while appealing to today’s youth,” said Ketan Mody, Executive Director at RCPL. “This launch is not just about a beverage—it’s about reviving a legacy and celebrating a taste that connects people.”

Echoing this sentiment, Daminda Gamlath, President of the John Keells Consumer Foods Sector, said, “This partnership reflects our commitment to expanding consumer choice with products rooted in heritage. It strengthens our beverage portfolio and reinforces our leadership in Sri Lanka’s competitive market. We are confident in leveraging our distribution reach and expertise to establish Campa as a familiar name locally.”

The Sri Lankan range includes Campa Cola, Campa Lemon, Campa Orange, and energy drinks under the Campa NRG line—featuring Gold Boost and Berry Kik.

The products are priced at Rs 100 for a 250 ml bottle, aiming to offer both affordability and everyday refreshment.
