DP World also invested in 1,000 forty-foot reefer containers and 750 twenty-foot dry containers to support the route.
Under the agreement, DP World will modernize infrastructure, expand handling capacity, and implement advanced cargo-handling and digital systems.
The partnership will explore sourcing corridors across Africa, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Americas.
“This is about solving a real, immediate problem for global trade,” said Yuvraj Narayan, Group CEO of DP World.
In Senegal, the company has invested more than US$300 million in port infrastructure.
