The Glenwalk’s rapid growth reflects strategic expansion, award-winning quality, and plans for new premium expressions and international markets.

INDIA – The Glenwalk, a premium Scotch whisky co-founded by actor Sanjay Dutt, has achieved sales of over one million bottles across India between April and August 2025, representing a five-fold increase from the 0.2 million bottles sold during the same period last year.
According to the company, the surge has been driven by Cartel Bros co-founders Mokksh Sani, Jitin Merani, Rohan Nihalani, and Manish Sani, whose innovative strategies have positioned The Glenwalk as a major disruptor in India’s spirits market.
Crafted from premium Scotch malts and grains aged for three years and produced in Scotland by one of the world’s top manufacturers, The Glenwalk offers a high-quality blend at an attractive price point.
Sanjay Dutt said the whisky’s meteoric rise has been “inspiring” and credited the team’s relentless efforts and the product’s quality for its rapid success.
Just over two years since launch, The Glenwalk has expanded to 15 Indian states and four international markets, including Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UAE.
Key Indian markets include Maharashtra, Haryana, Delhi, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. The brand now partners with more than 30 distributors, with availability in over 10,000 outlets and 24 duty-free stores worldwide.
Mokksh Sani, co-founder of Cartel Bros, said the brand’s growth is a direct result of strategic vision and the significant market potential identified in India’s premium spirits segment.
The Glenwalk has garnered more than 10 global whisky awards and four business recognitions, underscoring its premium positioning.
The company plans to expand its portfolio with two new ranges—a 5-Year-Old and a 7-Year-Old Expression—in the coming months. It also aims to grow its footprint into six additional Indian states and five new international markets, including the USA, Hong Kong, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and parts of Africa.
