Maersk appoints Bruno Plantaz as Global Head of Solutions amid leadership reshuffles
Bruno Plantaz’s appointment strengthens Maersk’s Solutions division, which provides integrated logistics services across customer supply chains.
GLOBAL – A.P. Moller – Maersk has appointed Bruno Plantaz as new Global Head of Solutions and member of the company’s Executive Leadership Team, effective 1 November 2026, as the shipping giant moves to restructure its top management and integrate experienced global talent into its core business strategy.
Bruno Plantaz brings extensive international experience in freight forwarding and contract logistics. He served for ten years with Kuehne+Nagel and more than a decade with CEVA Logistics, where he held senior leadership roles across Asia Pacific, Southern Europe, India, the Middle East and Africa.
Bruno Plantaz succeeds Narin Phol, who will leave the company at the end of September. During his time at Maersk, Narin Phol has held several senior leadership roles across Maersk, including in Asia Pacific, India, the Middle East and Africa, and North America, and he has played an important role in bringing the Logistics & Service business to where it is today, always with a strong focus on serving customers.
Chief People Officer Transition
After a 24-year career at Maersk, Chief People Officer Susana Elvira has decided it is time to explore opportunities outside Maersk. Susana Elvira has played a pivotal role in shaping Maersk as an attractive and inclusive workplace for talented colleagues across the globe. She will leave the company in mid-October.
Her successor has been appointed and will join Maersk on 1 November 2026. Further details will be announced in due course and in coordination with the current employer. While Elvira’s successor has been officially selected to begin in late 2026, their identity remains confidential pending a future announcement.
Strategic Leadership Renewal
These transitions highlight a period of strategic personnel turnover as the organization refreshes its leadership across both operational and human resources sectors. The appointments and departures represent a significant reshaping of Maersk’s Executive Leadership Team.
