Coca-Cola launches Fanta Berry in Tanzania

The new Fanta flavour will be promoted through music, creator challenges, university activations and the #KipapliChallenge across Tanzania.

TANZANIA – Coca-Cola Tanzania has launched Fanta Berry, a new flavour aimed at expanding the brand’s appeal among young consumers across the country.

Fanta Berry is available at selected retail outlets, supermarkets, universities, kiosks and other trade outlets, giving consumers access to the new fruity beverage.

Coca-Cola Tanzania Senior Marketing Manager Kabula Nshimo said the product was developed to offer a fruity alternative that responds to changing consumer tastes.

The launch will be supported by the “Kipapli” campaign, which will engage young Tanzanians through music, dance, fashion, creator culture and on-ground experiences at universities and high-traffic locations in Dar es Salaam.

Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd General Manager David Chait said the launch reflected the company’s focus on meeting local beverage preferences.

“Our diverse beverage portfolio reflects our dedication to meeting the preferences of Tanzanians and bringing people together through products that add flavour to everyday moments,” Chait said.

Fanta Berry will also feature creator challenges designed to encourage young people to produce content, build their influence and participate in the digital creator economy.

The campaign will include university engagements, trade-market “Berrification” activations, influencer collaborations and the #KipapliChallenge social media campaign.

Coca-Cola Tanzania said the activations would bring the new flavour closer to young consumers while supporting the wider launch campaign.

Fanta Berry joins Fanta Orange as part of the brand’s beverage offering in Tanzania, with the company continuing to promote products and experiences centred on flavour and consumer engagement.

The new launch expands Coca-Cola’s Fanta portfolio in Tanzania as the company uses the Kipapli platform to connect with young consumers across physical and digital channels.
