Ferrero India launches Ferrero Rocher bars in premium chocolate segment

The 90g bars come in Classic Hazelnut and 70 percent Cocoa Hazelnut variants, with initial distribution through quick commerce platforms.

INDIA – Ferrero India has expanded Ferrero Rocher into the premium chocolate bar segment with the launch of Ferrero Rocher Bars, introducing the brand in a new format for Indian consumers.

The new 90g bars combine chocolate, hazelnut and creamy filling, bringing the brand’s established texture profile into the chocolate bar category. The range is available in Classic Hazelnut and 70 percent Cocoa Hazelnut variants.

Classic Hazelnut offers a smoother chocolate profile, while 70 percent Cocoa Hazelnut provides a more intense cocoa taste. Both variants feature an embossed design inspired by Ferrero Rocher’s textured surface and the brand’s signature gold packaging.

Zoher Kapuswala, Marketing Head, Ferrero India Subcontinent, said the launch extends the brand’s established attributes into a new format.

“Ferrero Rocher has built strong equity in India through its signature combination of quality, craftsmanship and textures. With Ferrero Rocher Bars, we are taking these elements into a new format and creating a multisensory way for consumers to experience the brand,” said Kapuswala.

The Ferrero Rocher Bars will initially be available through quick commerce platforms, with Ferrero planning to subsequently expand distribution through modern trade and premium stores in key metropolitan markets.

The launch campaign, titled “Ferrero Rocher is a Bar.” will use outdoor advertising, digital platforms and creator collaborations. A campaign film featuring actor Hrithik Roshan is also planned.

Priced at an MRP of Rs 499 for the 90g pack, the bars enter a premium price point within India’s chocolate bar market. The format also expands Ferrero Rocher’s presence into a category associated with individual consumption and sharing.

The launch comes as Ferrero Rocher targets double-digit growth in India during the festival season, seeking to outpace the country’s chocolate market and gain market share through premiumisation and wider retail distribution.

The company is also expanding its retail presence through the addition of more coolers as it seeks to strengthen availability across the market.

Ferrero Rocher’s entry into the premium chocolate bar segment adds a new consumption format to its portfolio while maintaining its focus on chocolate, hazelnut and creamy filling. The expansion broadens the brand’s portfolio beyond its traditional boxed chocolates.
