AD Ports Group to acquire MBS Logistics for US$79.4M, expands Central Europe freight network

This acquisition integrates MBS Logistics, an established European ground network, with AD Ports Group’s maritime and port assets.

GERMANY – AD Ports Group has signed an agreement to acquire Germany-based MBS Logistics for an enterprise value of AED300 million (US$79.4 million), covering 100% ownership of the company’s core business, excluding joint ventures.

The acquisition remains subject to EU regulatory approval, with completion expected during the second half of 2026.

MBS Logistics: Global Footprint and Revenue

MBS Logistics reported revenues of AED870 million (US$232.5 million) in 2025. The company operates freight forwarding activities in Germany and Central Europe, with networks across China, Vietnam, and the United States.

It operates 26 offices globally and employs more than 450 staff. Its services include air, ocean, road, and rail freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs, project cargo, and multimodal transport solutions.

The company’s operations in Germany provide access to logistics hubs across Central Europe, including the Nordics, BENELUX, Switzerland, and Eastern Europe. MBS Logistics also operates offices in China, Vietnam, and along the eastern seaboard of the United States.

Strategic Expansion for Noatum Logistics

According to the companies, the addition of MBS Logistics increases AD Ports Group’s presence in Central Europe and expands its freight forwarding network across Europe-Asia, Trans-Pacific, and Trans-Atlantic trade routes.

This acquisition integrates MBS Logistics, an established European ground network, with AD Ports Group’s maritime and port assets.

Perishable shipments moving from African and Middle Eastern origins to European markets gain access to seamless road and rail connections from German hubs to Nordic, BENELUX, Swiss, and Eastern European destinations.

Industry Perspective

The acquisition marks a major step in expanding AD Ports Group’s influence over critical trans-Atlantic and trans-Pacific shipping corridors. By securing full ownership of MBS Logistics’ core operations, the parent company significantly enhances its multimodal transport capabilities and trade route coverage.

For logistics investors, this acquisition demonstrates AD Ports Group’s strategy of building an integrated logistics platform combining maritime, port, and freight forwarding assets.

As EU regulatory approval progresses, shippers should monitor how MBS Logistics’ European network integrates with Noatum Logistics’ existing operations.

The second half of 2026 completion timeline suggests full integration benefits will materialize in 2027, offering expanded routing options for time-sensitive perishable cargo moving between Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
