Al Ahram Beverages Company launches ‘ABC Hospitality Academy’ to train 500 professionals across Egypt’s tourism hubs

Al Ahram Beverages Company unveils major hospitality training program to upskill food and beverage professionals in Egypt’s booming tourism sector.

EGYPT – Al Ahram Beverages Company (ABC), one of Egypt’s leading multi-category beverage producers with over 120 years of heritage, has announced the launch of the ‘ABC Hospitality Academy’ in partnership with Rhythm Hospitality Training Consultancy.

The initiative is designed to train more than 500 food and beverage professionals across over 30 venues in Cairo, Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada, Alexandria, and the North Coast by the end of 2025.

The ‘ABC Hospitality Academy’ will offer two specialized training tracks, including an internationally recognized certification from the UK Institute of Hospitality. This program aims to equip staff with the knowledge and skills to deliver exceptional guest experiences and meet the evolving needs of Egypt’s growing tourism industry.

Egypt welcomed 15.7 million visitors in 2024 and targets 30 million tourists by 2028. Visitor numbers rose 22% in the first seven months of 2025, with the government projecting 18 million visitors by the end of the year. ABC’s new initiative reflects the rising demand for trained professionals capable of sustaining this growth.

Since 2022, ABC has already trained over 4,000 food and beverage professionals nationwide, covering destinations from Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh to Upper Egypt, Cairo, and Alexandria. Building on this foundation, the company has expanded its training from a single course into a comprehensive program tailored to market demands.

The curriculum has been developed by Al Ahram Beverages Company, drawing on its global expertise and understanding of Egypt’s HORECA (Hotels, Restaurants, and Cafes) sector. The Academy aims to provide professionals with the best tools, knowledge, and recognition to elevate Egypt’s hospitality standards.

According to Nikolay Mladenov, Managing Director of Al Ahram Beverages Company, the launch of the ‘ABC Hospitality Academy’ underscores the company’s long-standing commitment to the country’s tourism and hospitality sectors.

He emphasized the importance of investing in people and skills to match Egypt’s expanding tourism landscape with world-class service delivery.

The Academy’s first training track focuses on hospitality psychology, guest experience, operational excellence, and leadership. The second emphasizes beverage expertise, food pairing, product knowledge, service presentation, and guest engagement.

Together, these tracks, combined with the UK Institute of Hospitality certification, will support capability building, economic empowerment, and an improved tourism experience.

By equipping professionals with advanced skills, Al Ahram Beverages Company seeks to help Egypt maintain its position as a premier global destination and contribute to the sustainable growth of the national economy.
