BodyArmor launches Flash I.V. caffeine zero sugar to target growing energy hydration market

BodyArmor expands its Flash I.V. portfolio with a zero-sugar, caffeinated hydration drink aimed at active consumers.

USA – US-based sports and functional hydration brand BodyArmor has expanded its Flash I.V. range with the launch of Flash I.V. Caffeine Zero Sugar, a new beverage designed for consumers seeking hydration alongside enhanced alertness.

The latest product contains 95mg of caffeine and 2,290mg of electrolytes, which the company says is higher than traditional sports drinks, while delivering zero sugar. The formulation positions the new offering at the intersection of the fast-growing functional beverage and energy hydration segments.

Flash I.V. Caffeine Zero Sugar is available in Pineapple Passionfruit and Watermelon Punch flavours, combining “bold taste with functional performance,” according to BodyArmor. In addition to electrolytes and caffeine, the beverage includes zinc as well as vitamins B and C, supporting immune health alongside hydration and cognitive focus.

The launch builds on BodyArmor’s broader Flash I.V. portfolio, which includes ready-to-drink beverages and hydration boosters. The company has been steadily expanding the brand to meet rising consumer demand for zero-sugar, performance-oriented drinks that offer multiple functional benefits.

The new product follows BodyArmor’s 2025 rebrand, which introduced a refreshed visual identity and updated packaging aimed at resonating with both established and next-generation athletes. As part of its brand positioning, BodyArmor has promoted the message of “Choose Better,” a campaign that was extended to Canada last fall.

Flash I.V. Caffeine Zero Sugar officially launched on January 14 and is available in U.S. retail stores and online platforms.

BodyArmor previously offered a ready-to-drink caffeinated hydration line under the BodyArmor Edge brand, which was discontinued after The Coca-Cola Company acquired BodyArmor in late 2021.

The company expanded the Flash I.V. brand in 2023 with the introduction of Hydration Booster powder sticks and added a caffeinated version of the powder product in 2024.
